Workshop May 14th - 2022 with Sunita Staneslow

Learn a traditional Shetland Boat song from Sunita who will be teaching from the island of Unst in Shetland. We will learn, play and discuss ways of shaping the phrase and finding the chords that will help enhance the  melody of this tradition old Norse language tune.  Learn to take a simple chord progression and create flowing phrases that can be used as an introduction and interlude. Creating beautiful phrases is an art - learn tips and techniques that will help you control your phrases and enhance your creativity.

Registrants will receive a lead sheet in advance; class will be on Zoom, May 14, 10 am -12 noon.

Sunita Staneslow is well known for the triple threat she is - teacher, performer and published harp arranger. Come join us for this short but valuable workshop!
