Another amazing coaching opportunity for members of the West Coast Harp Society was in June, 2021

Nancy Allen, is long-time performer and harp educator. In 1973 she won first prize at the Fifth International Harp Competition in Israel, one of the most prestigious international harp competitions in the world. Since 1999 she has been the Principal Harpist of the New York Philharmonic, playing under music director and conductor Lorin Maazel, and in her 20-year teaching career has trained many successful students as well as serving concurrently as head of the harp departments at the Juilliard School (where she received her bachelor's and master's degrees) and Aspen Music Festival and School. She was formerly the head of the harp department at the Yale School of Music. Her own teachers included Pearl Chertok, Lily Laskine, Marcel Grandjany, and her predecessor at Juilliard, Susann McDonald.

We were delighted she gave a set of coaching sessions for a number of students. Dates were June 12, 19, 26, 2021.

If your teacher gave you a time slot, you went to the registration page to pay your fee. Auditors can also pay there for the session.  All auditors and performers must be members of the Society, so if you have not had a current membership, please click the membership button as well. Membership year is Sept to August, You can check on your membership status by email.

Soundcheck was available 30 minutes prior each session.
